Chapter One- Journey into Forbidden Territory

D was just standing there, like an impeneratable wall. This agitated Lo even further.
"Speak, you cur! I won't be ignored!", shouted Lo. "As you wish.", D responded.
D suddenly charged at Lo, his mighty sword at hand. Lo threw his shotels at D in response. Lo planned to center D at the path of the two shotels. Unfortunately for Lo, D broke into bats before the shotels even touched him. Instead, Lo was pinned down in the ground with the tip of D's sword an inch on his face. It dawned to him that this man was different from all he had hunted before.
"Tell me, what is the purpose of this visit?", asked D.
"Do you think I would divulge any information for you? I don't think so.", laughed Lo. Without any warning, D cut off his right arm. Lo was screaming in pain.
"AH SHIT! MY ARM! YOU SON OF A BITCH!", Lo was filled with anguish.
"Tell me the purpose of this visit or I'll amputate your left arm next.", said D.
"ALRIGHT! I'm here...to dispatch...Clara."
"For what reason?"
"I DON'T KNOW! I just follow orders from...Gelan."
"Tell your master that she'll be expecting a visit from me. Understood?"
"YES! This isn't...over, half-breed!", with that departing words, he and the undead disappeared.
The Dilim family saw the incident went for the better. Fortunately, they did not saw D. Instead, they were busy trying to deter the undead during the raid. Clara, in the other hand, was sound asleep, unaware of any chaos erupted outside.
In the Rest castle, Gelan received the news and she was not delighted with the outcome. She summoned the wounded Lo in her presence.
"So you failed. Such failure is unforgivable to me. However, this Damphire intrigues me. A mere half-breed defeated my knight? Heal up, Lo. You are pardoned for now. Away from my presence!", dictated Gelan. Lo was grateful for the pardon. Before he left, he told Gelan about the Damphire's visit to the castle. Gelan did not respond. His hatred for D flooded his entire soul.
"Damphire! I'm going to take your head and drink wine out of it...I swear to it!", thought Lo. As Lo left, a shadowy figure appeared besides Gelan and spoke.
"Gelan, what are your plans?"
"This Damphire is coming for me. He'll soon learn that the hunted can snared her own traps."
Another morning broke and Clara woke up from her deep sleep. She was wondering where D went. She went outside and she was shocked at the sight of the undead on her family's property. The ground was as red as crimson velvet. She hurried back to her family.
"Papa, are you hurt?",
"Dear heavens no. Thankfully, you weren't injured either. We're incinerating the corpses at the back. Poor souls."
The smell disgusted Clara and she hurried back inside the manor. As soon as the property was cleaned, Clara went back to the guest house and found only an empty space. She noticed a note on the side of the door. The note read,

Clara,

I am paying Lady Gelan a visit so do not worry.

D

D rode with his mighty steed and headed to the Rest Castle. However, in order to do that, D must pass the nearby monster region. No human had the guts to go near this region. Unspeakable horrors curdled the people's blood. As D rode on, the area was disturbingly quiet.
"D, I don't like this. You know what this means, right?"
"Yes, I'm used to it.."
In D's sight, a child appeared in front of him. His face was like any other child's, radiance was reflected his eyes.
"Hi, mister. Can you play with me? I'm bored."
"......."
"Come on mister!"
"It is rather suspicious that a child is playing in the dark, in an area like this. Reveal yourself!"
The child's eyes became stern and cold. A strange energy was emitted the surroundings. D's body became stiff and this surprised him. He was struggling to gain control his vessel. Before he did, he started floating and a sharp pain was felt.
"Big mistake stranger, you should have played with me. I will make sure that every feeling in your body will be severely distressed."
D's left hand started to move on its own. The symbiot smiled at the child.
"Time for dinner, kid.", then it begun sucking the entity into its mouth. The powerful vacuum created chaos and the evil child became afraid.
"Stop it!", as the kid struggled, his control over D began to deteriorate. It was too late for the entity.
"That was good. Can we move on?"
D resumed his journey into forbidden territory. The first encounter was just a prelude. Future challenges lay ahead. It's embedded in D's soul and nothing surprises him anymore. His sword tasted blood of previous aristrocrats. It hungered for more and it can't stop. D cursed his vamperic lineage and vowed to purge it from the world. However, he cannot escape the truth, he was a Dhampire. Neither human or vampire will accept him. But still, his blood demanded lust for another's demise. His human side guided him to a direction where rewards were superficial yet cleansed his soul. Living in a deluded existence.

D was growing impatient so he sped up his steed. The wind was guiding him into his next prey. As D headed on, the mist covered the surroundings of the Dark Region. Nothing but thick, cold air. The smell was particularly disturbing. The scent of burning flesh. The mist suddenly lifted and revealed what looked like impaled humans burning. It was sign that something was coming for him. From out of nowhere, a projectile appeared and almost hit D in the back. Luckily, he jumped out of the way. The end corner of his cape was burning but it eventually subsided. When D regained his composure, his eyes gazed upon a beautiful figure in the distance. Her hair was as red as the blazing fire. Her face was very seductive, like nothing can ever resist her. As she moved forward with her fiery steps, D was prepared to unsheathe his sword. She stopped advancing and decided to converse with the mysterious vampire hunter.
"I've expected your arrival, vampire hunter. Apoyinita is my name and it's the last word you'll remember after I kill you."
D heard those words before and he got tired of listening to it so he didn't reply.
"Silent treatment, ha? Let's see if you still think I'm a pushover.", she raised her right palm and created a fireball.
"Let me blow you kiss, lover."
With that word uttered, the flame started to advance towards D. He just sliced off the projectile with ease. This irritated Apoyinita. Her whole body became engulfed with intense heat.. The brightness of the aura blinded D's sight. His body started to get warm, he does not want to wait for the heat to get to him so he jumped and decended on the fiery entity. Apoyinita embraced herself and flares began to appear. The wild flames deflected D's attack and threw him to the edge of the area, knocking some of the flaming corpses in the process. D was disoriented from the attack and shook his head.
"So, this is your true power.", said D. Apoyinita was surprised to finally hear the hunter's voice.
"So you speak. Are you impressed with my technique?", D just stared at her with such coldness.
"Very well, it's time to satisfy my urge to explore my prey.", she used her psychic powers to lift some steel plates and made them into cuffs. She pointed it to D and he was pinned to a tree. The grip of the plates made D's arms bleed. She approached D and began touching his well sculpted chest. Her fingers feeling very muscular bump of his black armor. D was struggling to get free. It aroused her to see prey struggle, increasing her desire.
"For a vampire hunter, you are good looking. I see why Lady Gelan is interested in you.", she stuck her tongue inside D's reluctant mouth and kissed him with heated passion. D's eyes saw Apoyinita's exposed neck. Something inside him reawakened, his cursed blood started to take over him. He was shaking uncontrollably. Apoyinita back off in response. He opened his mouth, revealing fangs. D became the creature he hated the most. His strength increased and with that, he broke his binds. Before she was aware of anything, D was infront of her. He grabbed and sink his fangs on her neck. Instead of crying in pain, she was enjoying it. It was a dangerous ecstasy for her. The flames engulfed both of them. The intense brightness was seen for miles. D was unaffected. She wanted it the pleasure of being killed. She moaned everytime he sucked harder. D drained her most of blood, but he stopped. He just threw her like trash. He screamed in rage for giving in to his thirst. He went back to normal. The symbiot then spoke,
"You can never deny your cursed blood. You will always show your fangs. You actually enjoyed the foreplay, didn't you?", laughed the symbiot.
"You sadistic bastard!", D retrieved his sword and he was ready to cut off the symbiot.
"Control yourself. To any consolation, I'll keep quiet."
D wiped the blood from his lips. He looked at it and he regreted his action. He looked at Apoyinita's body.

"Forgive me..."

He decided to leave her. D returned to his steed and moved on. He knew his sins would forever haunt him.
